Walking & Cycling
Worting Park is located close to a variety of walking and cycling routes offering sustainable travel options around the site and into Basingstoke.
Footways are provided along the B3400 giving pedestrians access to facilities east of the site as well as bus stops.
To the east of the development are several local cycle routes which provide routes towards the centre of Basingstoke. The cycle route along Roman Road provides the direct route to Basingstoke and connects to the Calleva Trail route.
National Cycle Network
Basingstoke has The National Cycle Network Route 23 running from the south through the town centre north easterly towards Reading. The National Cycle Network provides signed routes through the UK for cycling with the aim of improving health and wellbeing, with 4.4 million people using the network between 2017 and 2018. 786 million walking and cycling trips were made on the Network. As a result, £88 million was saved through reduced road congestion.
