Local Walking and Cycling Routes
St Peter’s Quarter is surrounded by a number of walking and cycling routes providing access to destinations nearby and the rest of Surrey. Take a look at your local walking and cycling routes below including footpaths and bridleways:
To the south east of the development a shared footway / cycleway is provided on the eastern side of Guildford Road providing a route towards Chertsey to the north. To the south on Guildford Road the shared footway / cycleway continues on the western side of Guildford Road with much of the route sat behind the carriageway towards Ottershaw. The route forms parts of the Surrey Cycle Way and National Cycle Route 223.

National Cycle Network
The National Cycle Network provides huge benefits to health and wellbeing, with 4.4 million people using the network between 2017 and 2018. 786 million walking and cycling trips were made on the Network. As a result, £88 million was saved through reduced road congestion.
Starting in Chertsey, National Cycle Route 223 routes along Guildford Road (north to south) which you can join from the south east of the site and provides the opportunity to travel to Shoreham-by-Sea. National Cycle Route 4 can also be accessed via route 223 in the centre of Chertsey. This is a long network route which provides access to London and Fishguard via Reading, Bath, Bristol, Newport, Swansea, Tenby, Haverfordwest and St. Davids.

Bicycle User Group (BUG)
We are committed to ensuring that cyclists have the opportunity to travel with other cyclists to help promote cycling as a form of travel. These groups allow for feedback to be made back to TPC and to Surrey County Council on facilities and routes. It also provides a social opportunity for residents to get together.
