Travel Plan Voucher
As part of the Travel Plan each household is entitled to a cycle voucher of a value of up to £50.
How does it work?
To obtain your £50 cycle voucher, simply purchase your cycle equipment and email us at rivermeadgardenstpc@i-transport.co.uk and follow the steps below:
In your email, please provide the following information
- Proof of purchase
- Your plot number and address (this is to ensure one voucher per household)
- Proof of address
- Bank details so we can reimburse you
We will then be in touch to confirm details about your Travel Plan voucher.

Active Alton
Active Alton is an Alton Town Council campaign to encourage the community to engage in sport and physical activity. From here, you can choose from over 70 local organisations and view any upcoming events near you. These include walking and cycling for beginners or the more experienced, as well as a fantastic range of leisure and competitive sports.

Cycle Alton
Cycle Alton began in 2020 with the goal of improving cycle safety in Alton. This group represents everyone who wants to cycle in Alton and the local villages. That’s whether it’s for work, school, shopping, or fun. Plus, the five local cycling groups that organise rides.
The group have two major projects at the moment. Encouraging active travel to the town centre and developing safe routes to school for senior school age children.
Each year, Cycle Alton also run cycle training classes for adults.
A ‘Cycling in Alton’ map can be found in the library, the Community Centre, the railway station and the Town Hall. On-line mapping tools include Cycle Streets, MyJourneyHampshire and Komoot.

School Travel
Alton Infant School
Alton Infant School is located to the North of the development on Normandy Street and can be accessed via foot or cycle along the main road, which provides a pelican crossing for safe access opposite the school entrance.
Amery Hill School & Saint Lawrence C of E Primary School
Both Amery Hill School and Saint Lawrence C of E Primary School are located to the North West of the development on adjacent sides of the road on Amery Hill. They can be accessed via foot or cycle, with a direct bus stop just outside.
Anstey Junior School
Anstey Junior School can be found to the North of the development on Eastbrook Road, and can be accessed via foot or cycle, with a direct bus stop on Anstey Road.
Alton College (HSDC)
HSDC Alton can be found to the North of the development on Old Odiham Road and can be accessed via foot or cycle along Edward Road. There is also a direct bus service providing access to the campus.
Eggar’s School
Eggar’s School is located to the North East of the development on London Road, and is accessible via a pelican crossing. There is also a shared pedestrian / cycle path giving access on London Road to the East and South of the school, with a bus stop on the Southern border.
